The Sunshine Room
Preschool: Ages 2 1/2- 4 years
Referred to as our "Sunshine Room," the preschool curriculum includes age-appropriate phonics lessons, math concepts, shapes, colors, and arts & crafts. These activities are planned around weekly themes. Each child proceeds at his/her own pace. Activities change frequently, keeping in mind the attention span of the age group. Children enjoy library and circle time, outdoor play in our spacious playground, reading sessions, music, and introduction to Spanish. Our preschool program also incorporates an introduction to technology through supervised use of iPads loaded with age-appropriate and engaging, educational applications. Monthly lesson plans are distributed so that families can engage with their child on what they are learning at Westgate.
